We had been dreaming of this electronic cigarette at Le Petit Vapoteur for a long time. It is now available and just the way we wanted it. The specifications were simple: unique design, compact and simple, extremely easy to use. The goal was for it to appeal to smokers who want to switch to an electronic cigarette, without forgetting those who already vape.

In terms of design, I think we are spoiled with something that stands out from the crowd. It's an LPV creation, I must say. The tube format is still popular because it's not bulky. It can be stored in your pocket, in a bag, or even in the car.

Personally, I use it a lot during long trips, along with a nicotine salt e-liquid.

For the road!

On the simplicity side, we wanted an e-cig with an automatic draw, which is the current standard. So, no buttons or adjustments, it's plug & play. Experienced vapers of powerful e-cigs and direct lung inhalation find that the First activates quickly. Those accustomed to 100% MTL (mouth-to-lung) vaping say that you need to draw a little harder. It's a matter of habit, actually.

Let's focus on the "plug & play" aspect: the cartridge. It's wonderfully magnetic, and the cartridge doesn't budge a millimeter from the battery, which is great. As you can see, with this design, the drip tip is completely integrated with the reservoir. Therefore, refilling is done under the cartridge. It is impossible to refill from the top without compromising the sleekness of the First's design.

Consequently, we have a reservoir with a silicone strip. It requires a gentle touch when refilling because the small strip demands self-control when opening the reservoir. We find solace in its 3 ml capacity, which sets it apart from the usual 2 ml capacity of pods or small clearomisers.

In 30/70 PG/VG, that does it!

We also wanted the First to have a long battery life. The tube format allows for a reliable battery: 1500 mAh. With this capacity, the USB-C connection is a must, even though it's becoming a standard. This is evident in the short charging time. Very short, in fact!

So, we have good battery life, even with a 0.6 Ω coil that operates at 20 watts. Let's talk about the First coil specifically. It works well with a 50/50 PG/VG ratio, and it's also compatible with 30/70. I even tested it with a 100% VG DIY e liquid ( fear nothing), it works!

It is also a perfect booster e-cig 

Of course, the First is not intended to produce dense vapour like a sub-ohm tank; that's not its objective. Vapers who enjoy dense vapour will likely have a compact backup setup for when needed. The First is more aimed at beginners or smokers who want to discover what vaping is all about, hopefully with minimal hassle and complications.

Pour les afficionados du 100% MTL comme moi, il suffit de boucher, pendant l'aspiration, un ou les deux trous permettant de voir le niveau, avec le pouce et l'index pour avoir une sorte de réglage airflow "manuel", et de ne pas avoir à aspirer trop fort ;-)

J'ai enfin trouvé la vapote qui me convient, pas de réglage, pas de fuite et entretien super rapide!
