Vaporesso Luxe XR Max 2 Pod Preview

05/14/2025  /   Device Actualities

What is small and produces loads of vapour? A pod! A pod, yes, but a pod with serious capabilities to ensure a great direct-lung vape. From Vaporesso, the Luxe XR Max takes on the challenge of providing the longest battery life while remaining compact enough to fit a portable pod format.

Stepping up from the 2800 mAh of the original Luxe XR Max, the capacity now increases to 3200 mAh! Given the unpredictable nature of innovations and features that vary in usefulness, the Luxe XR Max 2 also brings other new additions to stay on-trend and avoid looking outdated. And, of course, the indispensable customisable, animated colour screen makes its debut on the Luxe XR Max 2 pod!

Joking aside, on a more serious note, the pod offers other more advanced features. First off, Vaporesso is launching their MEGA BATT concept (“Mega Batt, mega power”). This is a patented technology designed to boost and improve the capabilities of Vaporesso pods. On the Luxe XR MAX 2 pod, the battery increases its capacity by 14%. Can anyone beat that?

Another technological upgrade—and a crucial one, as competitors are doing it too—is Dual Mesh. Not to be confused with the dual-coil cartridge found in Vaporesso's Vibe pods, the new feature here is coils equipped with two mesh elements. Dual Mesh makes its appearance within the GTX coils, and we get to discover them first with this pod. It still uses the COREX cotton developed by Vaporesso. With this new release, GTX coils are expected to last longer while delivering accurate flavours for an extended lifespan.

As you might expect, the pod remains fully compatible with GTX coils. Specifically, we discover the GTX 0.2 Ω Dual Mesh coil alongside this pod, which comes bundled with its DTL (direct-lung) cartridge. For indirect inhalation (yes, the Luxe XR MAX 2 remains highly versatile), we have the classic GTX 0.8 Ω and its MTL cartridge. Other Dual Mesh coils are planned in 0.15 Ω and 0.3 Ω. You can reach a power output of 60 watts with the included GTX 0.2 Ω Dual Mesh. The pod retains its maximum power output of 80 watts.

On the chipset front, which is still an AXON, the pod is fully featured, boasting Vaporesso's signature Pulse mode as well as Eco mode. A great touch is that Smart mode can be used alongside both of these vaping modes. Settings are adjusted using two buttons on the touchscreen portion of the display. This display offers three ultra-trendy graphic interfaces to choose from: Nebula, Vital, and Wave. Finally, to prevent any accidental firing, a physical toggle switch equips the pod. It is very discreetly located at the base of the device, right next to the USB port. A clever addition.

Bonjour Zack. Il y a en effet un bruit à l'inhalation provoqué par l'airflow de la cartouche. Cordialement. Pascal.
