The Lota Enviro: a water-based puff

It won't have escaped your notice that 'puff-style' e-cigarettes now hold a significant place in the vaping world. And for good reason: although they have a number of drawbacks, these ready-to-use models remain a simple and effective way to get into vaping and quit smoking.

With the Lota Enviro, Innokin is the first e-cigarette supplier to offer a disposable vape whose e-liquid is made with a substantial amount of water! Yes, you heard that right—water!

You might think that water, due to its fluid nature and lower viscosity compared to PG/VG, could cause issues (such as leaking). Therefore, it would be perfectly reasonable to be thrown off by its presence in an e-liquid. But don't panic, you're not going to drown!

Most e-liquids do not contain any water, and for those that do, the level does not exceed 3%. Aquios Labs' new technology has allowed Innokin to launch a brand-new product on the market containing 30% water.

Congratulations to them, you might say, but what are the actual benefits?

Very often, new vapers find the vaping sensation harsh and overly aggressive. This is a major hurdle for anyone wanting to stop smoking. The Lota Enviro presents itself as ideal for smokers in transition. Offering a smoother and therefore less harsh vape, this e-cigarette is a perfect fit for smokers wanting to switch to vaping.

The speed of nicotine delivery is also one of the key challenges in vaping. Fast delivery allows smokers to satisfy their cravings and reduce the temptation to smoke a cigarette. With its 30% water composition, the Enviro e-cigarette enables vapour production with higher bioavailability than conventional e-cigarettes. In other words, this means that the nicotine is absorbed into the bloodstream more quickly, meaning the feeling of satisfaction is delivered at a faster pace.

Like many of us, I have previously experienced that unpleasant dry mouth sensation after taking a puff from an e-cigarette. With the Lota Enviro, that is not the case at all.

The water included in its composition helps prevent dehydration; you can take as many puffs as you like without ever ending up feeling parched.

But what about the taste? Water allows for a vape that delivers far more flavour. The notes of the flavourings are carried much more easily than with standard PG/VG blends.

Aquios Lab only uses distilled water in the composition of their disposable. This removes virtually all mineral salts and other organisms typically found in spring or tap water.

Furthermore, this disposable e-cigarette is, of course, fully recyclable. To recycle it, simply drop it off at your nearest recycling centre. In terms of battery life, the Lota Enviro aligns with current market standards, offering a puff count of around 600.

What does the future hold for water-based vaping?

When asked whether this technology would expand to other types of e-cigarettes, Aquios Lab answered with a resounding yes! They are already working on refillable e-cigarettes utilizing the same water-based vaping technique.

However, for the time being, their primary focus is to get consumers used to this form of vaping via pre-filled devices.

Given the results achieved on their disposables in terms of flavour delivery and its more natural feel, it's hard not to be won over by this new technology introduced by the Lota Enviro.
