Pangu Tank

Talking of a small clearomiser which has created a buzz on the net, the Pangu by Kangertech! The revolutionary Pangu which Kangertech have promised is in fact a very nice Atomiser. For the revolution we can wait a while, but it does not matter, the Pangu itself is original, not too expensive, innovative and proposes a very pleasant vape.

Surprise ! 

Surprise, the arrival of the Pangu is in our hands, the packaging of the Kanger is completely different. A Black and White photo with a grey background, its sober. We feel that Kanger have concentrated on the qualities of this Clearomiser.

Second Surprise, the size of the coil is almost the same length of the clearomiser! We immediately think of the Cleito from the competitor Aspire. No. This is not the case and we shall see why later!!

In this small box we find a classic bundle: A Pangu, A changeable tank in Pyrex, a second coil, and a bonus, 2 joints for the Tank. It’s Christmas! We are far from the large box from the Dripbox 160 and its basket…. Oh well, as long as we can vape.

 The Pangu is a classic clearomiser which is especially interesting for the new coils PGOCC. Another new coil to buy you are saying?  YES … It’s exactly that...! The POGCC coils are supplied in the box, there is also an SS316L in 0.50 Ohm for Sub Ohm. And a 2^nd in Nichrome in 1.5 Ohm for a much calmer vape, for more flavour and less vape/cloud. We start to drift away from the Cleito which propose 2 Sub Ohm coils from 0.20 to 0.40 Ohms.

Vertical Coil

The PGOCC coils (Tip: PG for Pangu) are very long: 45mm. This is the length of the clearomiser! But, be careful the coil itself represents 1/3^rd of the coil. This is a classic of classics vertical coil. The coil is so long that it exceeds the tank and is covered by the Drip Tip!  

The idea by Kangertech is to propose a “clean” clearo when changing the coil, it is simple enough to pull off the drip tip and take out the coil by pulling on it. The coil itself is not in contact with the liquid because it is closed in the chimney.  So when you remove the coil, you will not have one dop of e-liquid on your fingers. This maybe a good anecdote, but it certainly has the option of being clean.

One can equally change the coil with the tank filled with e-liquid, it is enough to turn over the clearomiser with the top facing towards the bottom, a lot easier said than done!! Yes, the 3.5ml (like the Cleito) is waterproof, and this is good. No more leaking of e-liquid whilst vaping, which is even better. The Pangu is therefore very well designed. But, the airflow does leave quite a few questions.

Warning

For the airflow, you must be careful of the openings for the arrival of liquid to the coil so it does not become clogged (otherwise there is the dry-hit). Following, the maximum opening of the airflow is done by turning the Pangu on itself. The issue with this product is the closing entries for the e-liquid. There are only 2 positions for the aeration, open or widely open…, however the airflow of the Pangu is far from being hyper aired, we have seen worse. For amateurs of tighter pulls, go the other way, Pangu is not a Cubis. Be careful when placing the coils into the lodgings and match the openings for the flow of e-liquid.

The coil of the Pangu, Is the PGOCC in SS316L and Nichrome. What is left to think is the Ni200 and Titan have received a number of new products without resistive wires. The SS316L has a very big advantage of being used in Power Mode as well as in Temperature Control Mode. So there is a something for everyone and in Stainless Steel is softer in Nickel, by the bye.

What does the PGOCC coils say?

PGOCC 0.5 ohms for a vape with direct inhalation (Direct to Lung), orientated for a production of vape. To be used between 20 and 50 watts.

PGOCC 1.5 ohms for an indirect vape (Mouth to Lung) orientated towards a flavoured vape. To be used between 10 to 26 watts.

The coils are very good. Good delivery, no dry hits as they bare well irrigated. With the coil in 0.50 ohms there is a good production of vape and the flavour is also very good. Pass over to 40 watts and you feel the degraded taste of liquid in 50/50. It is better with liquids stronger in VG, but we can see that it is difficult to reach up to 50 watts with such a poor coil. We are very far, so to speak the performance of the Cleito.

Vocation 

So to sum up we can say the Pangu is not really a clearomiser made for a vape in Subom. This is not its vocation. It’s vocation can be found in the easy utilisation , its adorable price for finally obtaining a vape quite convincing. So simple we can almost advise beginners if the notice was more consistent and not in French. Another important factor to note, is that the Pangu does not leak!
