Practical advice :

A coil is consumable, therefore the lifespan is from 1 to 3 weeks.

If your coil is brand new, let it sit for about 10 to 15 minutes in the full reservoir before vaping.

If there is a persisting burnt taste and reduction in flavour this is an indication that the coil must be changed.

    EC-D Coils Eleaf

    Here is the latest innovation by Eleaf and the EC-D coils. They are made in austenitic steel which promises abundant flavours and an excellent lifespan. The material in stainless steel offers quick heating. It is rolled in a mesh sheet so the heat is uniform along its entire length with the ideal diffusion of flavours.

    The austenitic steel allows you to use the coils in temperature control, mode SS. It is compatible with the Melo X clearomiser and its use will be complete in the iStick X80 kit

    The EC-D coils are available in the  following options: 

    • EC-D 0.15 Ω. To be used between 40 and 70 watts. With an e liquid with a high rate of VG (> 70%). For a direct strong vape.
    • EC-D 0.3 Ω. To be used between 30 and 45 watts. With an e liquid with a high rate of VG (> 50%). For a direct vape.
    • EC-D 0.5 Ω. To be used between 15 and 25 watts. With an e liquid with a medium rate of VG (~ 50%). For a semi-direct.

    The EC-D coils are made by Eleaf.

    Replacing the coils of the Melo X Eleaf :

    • Unscrew the inferior base from the clearomiser
    • Unscrew the old coil 
    • Screw the new coil into the base.
    • Put a few drops of e liquid on the cotton visible on the coil
    • Screw back on the base to the reservoir 
    • Wait at least 10 minutes so the coil is completely primed with e liquid
