DIY 125 ML PACK VDLV
The DIY 125ml Pack by VDLV allows you to easily prepare your DIY e liquids without calculations. There are 4 rates of nicotine available, preparation base and Nicofill boosters of 100ml, it is possible to prepare 125ml in e liquid with the DIY VDLV Pack after the addition of 25ml concentrated aroma of your choice.
The DIY 125mlk Pack includes a base of 50/50 Propylene Glycol and Vegetable Glycerine of EP quality (European Pharmacopoeia). Pure nicotine of quality EP, extracted from wrappers, analyzed for purity and concentration.
The bottles once washed are recyclables.
Four rates of nicotine are availables : 2 mg/ml, 4 mg/ml, 6 mg/ml and 12 mg/ml :
- 2 mg : 90 ml non nicotine base + 1 Booster Nico Fill 20 mg
- 4 mg : 80 ml non nicotine base + 2 Boosters Nico Fill 20 mg
- 6 mg : 70 ml non nicotine base + 3 Boosters Nico Fill 20 mg
- 12 mg : 40 ml non nicotine base + 6 Boosters Nico Fill 20 mg

Warning: Nicotine contained in nicotine boosters is a product even when diluted and should be handled with extreme care. Always wear gloves and eye protection when using bases with nicotine.
Store your bottles with nicotine content in a place accessible only to you, or even under lock and key, and protected from the light.
Choice of Nicotine for your Base:
To consider your nicotine dependency there exists several screening tests which are used by tobacconists. You can find the Fagerström test to evaluate your dependency and your need for nicotine :
WHICH RATE OF NICOTINE IS FOR YOU ?
- If you are heavily dependent on nicotine, we advise you to choose e-liquids with a nicotine dosage of 16mg/ml and 18 mg/ml
- If you are somewhat dependent on nicotine, we suggest you use e-liquids with a nicotine dosage of 9mg/ml and 12 mg/ml.
- If you are just slightly addicted to nicotine, we suggest you use e-liquids with a nicotine dosage between 3 mg/ml and 6 mg/ml.
- If you are not dependent on nicotine, we suggest you use the 500ml Base nicotine free e-liquid. The absence of nicotine will reduce the hit so prefer stronger flavours such as glacial mint or the mint tobacco mixtures.
- If you are a non-smoker, avoid nicotine e-liquids altogether. A regular smoker has a considerably higher number of nicotinic receptors which limit the effects of nicotine but for a non-smoker, the risk of becoming dependent or overdosing is quite real!
The Preparation
Mix the contents of the nicotine boosters in the base. To follow pour in the quantity of the aroma or concentrate with the dosage of your choice. Our calculateur, present on each aroma and concentrate offers a frequently used dosages.
Maturation:
Maturation is a compulsory stage and is the period where the flavours in an e-liquid formulation develop. The aromas do not express themselves immediately in fact and they need:
- a minimum maturation period of 15 days if not several weeks for tobacco type aromas.
- a minimum maturation period of 48h for other types.
For best results, you should shake the flask once formulation is finished and a little each day to diffuse the aroma well.
Please not that the maturation period depends on the base used. The higher the vegetable glycerine content in the base, the longer the maturation period.
Tasting:
Once the maturation period is finished, your e-liquid is ready to taste. If you find the restitution of flavours too weak, you can add a few drops of aroma and let the formulation stand again for a minimum of 48h. On the other hand, if the liquid is too strong, you can dilute it by adding more base formulation.
- Too high dosage = need to dilute: add base formulation
- Too low dosage = need to add a few drops of aroma
Advice:
- Start with just one aroma before envisaging mixtures with several aromas.
- For additives (optional), stay in a proportion of 1 to 3% of your base formulation liquid + concentrated aroma(s), as the additives are very powerful in general.
- Label your formulations (aroma(s), dosage, nicotine content, date of production)
- Prepare your new recipes in 10 ml bottles, but in small 5 ml quantities, to allow for readjustments to the aroma or base.
- Do not forget the maturation phase. To reduced the waiting time, you can mix it from time to time to favourise the maturation.
