BVC COILS (Bottom Vertical Coil) for the Aspire Nautilus, Mini Nautilus et Nautilus 2.

They are compatible with the Aspire Nautilus.

  • BVC Nautilus 1.8Ω : to be used from 10 to 14 watts
  • BVC Nautilus 1.6Ω : to be used from 7 to 12 watts
  • BVC Nautilus 0.7Ω : to be used from 18 to 23 watts
  • BVC NS 1.8Ω : specially designed for e liquids with Nicotine Salts , to be used from 10 to 12 watts
  • BVC 0.4Ω : to be used with the Nautilus 2S,from 23 to 28 watts

The BVC technology pffers an abundant vape with excellent aromas gracious to the coils positioned vertically. 

They also accept e liquids with a low dose of VG (Vegetable Glycerine) just aswell as  liquids with 100% VG. 

 

Changing the BVC:

      • Unscrew the tank.
      • Unscrew the Aspire Nautilus BDC from the base.
      • Screw a new coil back onto the base.
      • Fill the tank with e-liquid.
      • Screw the base with the new coil back onto the tank.
      • Prime the new coil.

Choice of resistance or impedance value:

The lower the resistance value, the more heat produced, which increases the hit (sensation of vapour passing down the throat), the amount and temperature of the vapour.

The first reflex is therefore to choose a coil with a low value to have a maximum of very warm vapour and this reasoning is correct... but don't forget that in this case:

      • Your battery will discharge more quickly
      • You produce more vapour but consume more e-liquid
      • Your coil clogs up and wears out more rapidly
      • You risk having a burnt taste due to over-rapid vaporisation of the e-liquid.

Summary table of resistances to use in relation to your battery voltage:

      • 0.7 Ω: From 18 to 23 Watts 
      • 1.5 Ω: 3.3V to 4.2V battery
      • 1.8 Ω: 3.6V to 4.5V battery
      • 2.2 Ω: 3.7V to 4.8V battery
      • 2.5 Ω: 4.2V to 5.5V battery
      • 2.8 Ω: 4.4V to 6V battery
      • 0.4Ω: 23 to 28 W battery

Please note that batteries at a constant voltage such as the evod and eGo have an output voltage of 3.7 volts Give priority therefore to resistance values of between 1.5 and 2.2 ohms.

For variable voltage batteries (Spinner, Aro or Aspire). The value of your resistance is less important as you can adjust the power of your electronic cigarette by varying the voltage. If your resistance is too low, you can lower the voltage and inversely, if the value of your resistance is too high, you can increase the voltage.

When should you change your coil?

As it heats up, the coil transforms the liquid into vapour, but a deposit forms and clogs up over time. Result: the coil heats less, produces less vapour, and the deposit gets into the liquid due to the effect of the heat.

A drop in vapour production, less flavour produced, and a dark colouration of your e-liquid are signs that your coil needs changing.
